About Brian
Brian J. Sanger is an associate attorney at Ciancio Ciancio Brown and practices both family and criminal law.
Brian grew up in Centennial, Colorado. Both his parents are attorneys who practiced law throughout the Denver metropolitan area and in other parts of the state. He knew from a young age he wanted to become an attorney, and growing up in a family devoted to the practice of law helped him develop a passion for advocating for clients who may find the legal world daunting and unfamiliar.
Prior to joining the firm, Brian worked in the Office of the Public Defender in the 4th Judicial District (Colorado Springs) representing clients in a variety of criminal matters in county and district court. Brian has successfully won not-guilty verdicts for clients in jury trials and has also gained significant experience as an advocate for clients in various specialized problem-solving courts.
While in law school, Brian served two terms on the Board of the Criminal Law Society at the University of Massachusetts School of Law, first as Treasurer, then as Vice-President. He completed internships at the Colorado State Public Defender, Rhode Island State Public Defender, the Federal Public Defender for the Districts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, and the Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel in Colorado.
Prior to practicing law, Brian worked in banking and retirement planning at some of the nation’s largest financial institutions. His previous work experience has given him an advantage in the practice law due to his knowledge of various types of taxable and non-taxable accounts and the laws and regulations pertaining to each, as well as experience interfacing with large, complex banking and financial services companies.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys running, skiing, hiking, camping, and reading.
