Cynthia L. Ciancio

Cynthia Ciancio is a shareholder of Donelson Ciancio and Goodwin, P.C., and leader of the Family Law Group. Ms. Ciancio concentrates in the areas of: Family Law; High Asset Divorce; Legal Separation; Complex Child Custody; Child Support; Child Relocation; Adoption; Family Law Mediation & Arbitration; and Family Law Appeals. She vigorously advocates for her clients' interests, staying highly involved with every aspect of their case.

Cynthia was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1996. She received her B. A. from Stetson University in 1992, and her Juris Doctorate (J. D.) from the University of Denver in 1995. After graduating law school, Cynthia spent three years with the Adams County District Attorney's office: first as an intern, and soon after, as a Deputy District Attorney, handling matters ranging from misdemeanor and juvenile offenses to co-chairing a murder case with District Attorney Donald Quick. In May of 1999, Cynthia left the District Attorney's Office and began practicing family law at Ciancio & Associates, P.C., now Donelson Ciancio & Goodwin, P.C.

Cynthia has represented hundreds of people with a wide range of issues. She prides herself in knowing how to move a family matter forward, whether by reaching an agreement or litigating the matter. Cynthia has appeared in most courts in the Denver Metro and outlying suburban areas, including Weld County and more recently, in Archuleta County.


Publications/Presentations: Co-authored "Modifying or Terminating Maintenance Based on Co-habitation", Colorado Lawyer, June, 2009. Presented a Continuing Legal Education seminar on modification of maintenance in February, 2010.
